Very delicious kaiseki! The team is doing great to present their dishes. The turtle dish is impressive! Make me want to cry. I miss this taste so much. The mushroom is amazing, crispy outside and soft inside. The deep fried fish is also wonderful. Like to try all their menu each month if possible. ;-)

MoreVisited this venue tonight- it’s been renovated more recently so some of the photos on this site may show the older decor. It’s new inside and We visited this place after reading a review - and was greeted by the lovely kimono wearing Hiroko at the door who is English speaking which was great. Like most other reviewers comments it was a fabulous kaiseki meal - really worth trying - the menu changes pretty regularly, some of our set nine course meal attached. Recommended
MoreThe dishes are small and difficult to eat. There was no ingenuity in the arrangement, it was like home cooking, but I was disappointed that it was just put in.

MoreWe had a really lovely diner here last night. All of the dishes were super fresh and of very high quality, while to be expected from restaurants of such calibre, it's unusual to see so much thought have gone into designing the menu by the chef. What made it memorable was their service - from the warm welcoming of the restaurant lady, to the dedications of the entire kitchen team, and the owner chef who bidded us a fond farewell as we departed... when we turned the corner and looked back in the dark cold night, he was still standing at the door (p.s. the restaurant was full), he waved to us as if we were old old friends... it was such a touching sight that we will never forget...

It’s a great experience. It’s a feeling to eat aside the dishes. It makes people feel respected and valued in the details. There is no problem in English communication. There is also a children’s set menu that is very intimate. The children like it very much.
Moredelicious! If you eat at another Gion store, you will be doubled. The atmosphere is good and I do not say that. I went to various places in the Gion area, but here is the best. Although the potion is small and it is hard to eat, there is a one star rating, but the evaluation that says that is a story of a stranger who does not know Kyoto. Knowing the elaborate depth of Kyoto cuisine only makes a groan. If the other stance is a fine Kyoto shop and it is here where you can get between 4 and 50 thousand yen, you can eat well in the atmosphere with a taste and level equal to 20,000 yen. MoreI do not know what original Japanese haute cuisine is, but that was haute cuisine guaranteed!About 10 different courses have stimulated the palate in a perfect way. The whole has its price, but since the service is right I can recommend this restaurant to all who want to enjoy a variety of varied culinary delights.

Came here on recommendation from a friend native to the Kyoto area. This restaurant is a Michelin 1 star and it did not disappoint!! The food was excellent, flavors delicate but complex, and ingredients were seasonally fresh. We had counter seats and the head chef Terada and assistants were extremely friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back!
